Have you ever walked through a place that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time? That’s exactly how we felt when we visited Kajoetangan Heritage in Malang! Rows of old buildings, narrow alleys with a vintage touch, and plenty of aesthetic spots give the area such a unique vibe. What surprised us the most was that some local houses are actually part of the tourist area! It’s so cool to see how everyday life blends perfectly with the city’s classic atmosphere.

Every time we walk along Kajoetangan Heritage, there’s always something that makes us want to pause for a moment whether it’s the shimmering lights reflecting off the walls, the colonial-style architecture on every corner, or the sound of laughter from people enjoying the night that makes the atmosphere feel alive.

From there, we became curious to learn more about Kajoetangan’s culinary scene, because it turns out this place holds many stories and unique flavors.

Through this blog, we’ll take you on a journey to explore various interesting spots  from aesthetic modern cafés to legendary ones you simply can’t miss. It’s not just about the taste, but also the experience and ambiance that make each place special in its own way.

So, if you love culinary adventures while soaking in the charm of an old town, this blog can be your little guide before stepping into Kajoetangan.

Kajoetangan showed us that beauty often hides in small, simple moments from colorful Bougenville Spot, the sweet scent of Kantine Cookies, the refreshing taste of Es Serut Podjok, to the calm view of the Canal. There’s even a cute photobooth corner where you can snap pictures and write your wishes, and nearby, Khe Dai Kok San offers hearty meals and snacks to fill your day.

It’s not just about the places, but how they made us feel calm, happy, and connected.

When was the last time you slowed down and truly enjoyed the little things around you?
