Khei Dai Kok San & GivLav

Khei Dai Kok San
After spending hours exploring every corner of Kayutangan, our stomachs finally started to complain. So, we decided to look for something filling but still nearby and that’s how we found Khe Dai Kok San. Even though it’s technically a bit outside the Kayutangan area, it’s literally just next door, so it still feels like part of the neighborhood.

The moment we stepped in, we were greeted by the cozy and simple vibe kind of like a homestyle eatery, clean and warm. From the kitchen, we could already smell the mix of warm rice, spicy sambal, and fried chicken enough to make anyone instantly hungry!
Agistha ordered sego ndog with green chili sambal, while Fanny went for sego ndog with kecombrang sambal. The rice came wrapped in banana leaves, giving off that amazing aroma. The egg was fried perfectly into a soft omelet, and the sambal was mixed with small diced chicken pieces, adding a flavorful, spicy kick to every bite. It’s that perfect mix of spicy, savory, and aromatic simple, but so satisfying.

Besides rice dishes, Khe Dai Kok San also offers plenty of snacks that can actually fill you up. The menu is quite extensive you can easily check out all the options and prices from the big menu board displayed there, just like in the photo. It’s easy to find something that fits your taste (and your budget!).
The place may look simple, but the food hits differently warm, flavorful, and comforting. It’s the kind of spot that gives you a break, refills your energy, and gets you ready to keep exploring Kayutangan with a happy heart and a full stomach.

GivLav
While wandering around the streets of Kayutangan, we stumbled upon a little place that instantly caught our attention Givlav. From the outside, it already looked aesthetic and cozy, decorated with soft pastel colors and a warm, welcoming vibe. But what makes this place truly special isn’t just its look it’s the experience.

At
Givlav, you can take a photobooth session with your friends, but here’s the twist your photo doesn’t just get printed. Instead, the staff actually draws it by hand right on the spot! Watching her sketch the photo carefully was such a wholesome moment, and the result was adorable a one-of a kind keepsake you can’t find anywhere else.
Besides the photobooth, Givlav also sells beautiful handmade crochet flowers, each one crafted in different colors and shapes. They’re simple but charming, perfect as a small gift or decoration.
But what touched us the most was the wall full of paper notes filled with wishes and prayers from visitors. We stood there reading them one by one some were funny, some heartfelt, and others truly moving. It made us smile, and at the same time, a little emotional. That moment inspired us to write our own hopes and prayers, adding our little piece to the wall of dreams.

Givlav isn’t just a spot for cute photos it’s a place that reminds you of kindness, connection, and how beautiful it is to share dreams, even with strangers. A small corner filled with colors, warmth, and quiet stories waiting to be read.
